Summary:
- Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining an application within the PMLG healthsystem. Responsibilities include leading individuals through an application project, providing instruction onvarious applications and technical topics to other team members, educating training new hires, managing anapplication project through the entire project life cycle while meeting project deadlines and initiatives, andmonitoring a project plan while reporting project changes and status to administration. Lead team members onoptimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduledvendor releases and system updates upgrades, and fix system defects. Serve as the resource for othersapplication team members on technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements, anddeveloping logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity.Work with cross-functional teams and health system clients by providing education on system functionality, andconfiguration of new tools to increase end user productivity with the application. Ensure system changes followchange management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications,and develop, plan and execute testing for supported application. Communicates all necessary application changes,enhancements, and procedures to all necessary internal department teams.
Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of individuals through an application project by setting clear goals and objectives and allocatingresources appropriately
- Works independently on complex projects completing within the designated timeframe andunder minimal guidance
- Leads the team in system updates upgrades and scheduled vendor releases as requestedto enhance the application and meet project objectives
- Takes the lead in completing project discovery, preparingproject plans, monitors tasks, milestones, and reports project barriers, issues, risks, changes, and status to Manager
- with Manager to develop new policies and procedures relating to systemdesign, enhancements, change control, and maintenance of the application. Interprets and analyzes complexworkflow system requirements in order to design, configure, test and implement application solutions
- Coordinateswith cross-functional team members to determine and define specific analytical and technical systems informationrequirement, objectives and solution sets for the enhancements and configuration of the application system
- Leads the education and delivery to internal team members in the utilization of functionality within the application system.Participates in new hire application training, mentoring and instruction on internal processes and educates teammembers on various projects
- including testing, documenting, and configuration within the application.
- Creates andmaintains all documentation for assigned application in order to establish standards for configuration andenhancements within the application
- Develops and executes test plans that are comprehensive and inclusive ofapplication functionality changes and or enhancements to ensure successful outcomes
- Ensures all regulatoryrequirements are met by complying with all applicable guidelines, policies and procedures of IS and PMLG to ensurenecessary controls, documentation and audit trails.
- Participates in the budget process for assigned applications.
