Senior IT Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior IT Project Manager in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Senior IT Project Manager will collaborate with business and IT teams to define and document technical project needs
* Manage business cases, project proposals, funding requests, RFPs, and RFQs
* Lead procurement efforts from vendor review through contract negotiation
* Oversee vendor management and risk mitigation
* Coordinate cross-team collaboration for design, development, testing, and implementation
* Ensure all projects have plans, traceability, risk tracking, and documentation
* Align resource support across analysis, QA, and development teams
* Manage scope changes through the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
* Provide weekly status reports on progress, risks, and mitigation
* Prepare system documentation including data flows, file layouts, and project narratives
* Communicate technical concepts clearly across business and technical teams
* Follow standard project management and quality assurance practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
* PMP, CSM, and SAFe certifications are preferred
* 5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects in large enterprise environments
* Strong background in hybrid and SAFe Agile methodologies, Agile/Waterfall project delivery, and vendor management
* Proven ability to document business cases, manage contracts, and handle RFP/RFQ and funding requests
* Skilled in stakeholder negotiation, conflict resolution, and consensus building
* Effective communicator with experience supporting both technical and non-technical teams
* Proficient in multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities
* Experienced in matrix resource management and translating technical requirements into business terms
* Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
