A long-standing healthcare client of ours is revolutionizing the industry for employers and employees of self-funded health plans with their data-centric approach. Currently, they are looking to bring on a software engineer who has experience in the healthcare industry and technical expertise in .NET C# and microservices development to join their team.
This team is building out a net-new enterprise architecture for a large-scale application that will handle all claim flows for their business and trading partners. This will be built on microservices architecture with C# and Azure leveraging the related toolsets of PowerBI, SSIS, ADF, etc. The UI is already built out in Angular, and this project will massively scale that out.
This is a long-term (year+) contract position that can be based remotely in the US but ideally based in the Central or Eastern US time zones as the team will be working on Eastern Time Zone hours.
The Role You’ll Play
In this role, you will join a team of 5 developers responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a “single pane of glass” application that will consolidate and simplify claim flows from trading partners and other key stakeholders. It will also create much clearer visibility into the claim flows (EDI) via an embedded reporting dashboard in the UI where on-demand reports can be generated.
Write code in C#/.NET in a microservices architecture to create custom applications and Angular is used on the front-end.
Work closely with the business and vendors to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions
Build reliable, scalable integrations using Azure Integration Services, SSIS, and APIs and support the PowerBI reporting environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with data flows, mappings, or translations
Create technical documentation for integrations to facilitate maintenance and enhancements
Continuously monitor and optimize integration performance and data quality
Background Profile
5+ years in software engineering with a focus on Microsoft Technologies
3+ years experience with full-stack development
Strong C#/.NET development skills in a microservices architecture
Experience with UI development using Angular
Proficiency in developing solutions on the Azure platform and utilizing the Microsoft BI Suite (PowerBI, SSIS, etc.)
Knowledge of healthcare operations, systems, and data flows is nice to have
Understanding of common healthcare message formats (HL7, X12, NCPDP) is nice to have
