Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Workday Financial Management leader to join our premier client! This is a 6-month Contract To Hire opportunity.
- This is a Hands-On Technical Leadership Role.
- Candidates with Workday Certifications are Strongly Preferred.
The Workday Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting and optimizing the Workday Financial Management platform across a global organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving efficiency in finance operations.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience building solutions with the Workday Financial Management platform in a global environment.
- Proficiency in Workday Core Financials, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Adaptive Planning, Expenses, Projects, and Reporting.
- Familiarity with Workday integration solutions, including both direct integrations and those via middleware.
- Exposure to Workday Extend and Accounting Center is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of key finance business processes, reporting requirements, and global finance challenges.
- Proven experience developing technology solutions based on business needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead team members and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
- Develop deep expertise in the current Workday Financial Management implementation and its global usage.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with finance leaders across the organization.
- Understand key financial business objectives and align them with Workday capabilities.
- Identify system opportunities and risks, translating them into actionable technology initiatives.
- Present and align an actionable roadmap with Finance and IT stakeholders.
- Define and document business requirements and recommend suitable Workday solutions.
- Lead the planning and execution of upcoming Workday initiatives in collaboration with the Program Management Lead.
- Own and lead the delivery of in-flight functional enhancements.
- Communicate technology and capability challenges proactively, focusing on solutions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot Workday application issues, partnering with internal teams and Workday support.
- Provide guidance on Workday configuration and interface integrations with finance and corporate systems.
- Ensure compliance and assess risk across financial systems and processes.
Compensation and Employment
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected hourly rate for this position is $85 - $105 per hour W2, depending on experience and qualifications. This role qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision Insurance and PTO. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
