Job Title: PeopleSoft HCM Specialist / PeopleSoft Open Enrollment & Benefits Setup Specialist with 10 years of experience

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft HCM Specialist with strong expertise in Open Enrollment configuration and Benefits Administration setup. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 (latest PUM images) and PeopleTools 8.59/8.60, with a focus on designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Benefits and Open Enrollment processes. This role requires deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, plan setup, event maintenance, and integration with payroll and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Open Enrollment cycle setup, configuration, and testing within PeopleSoft HCM Benefits Administration.
- Configure and maintain health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other employee benefit plans in alignment with organizational policies and compliance standards.
- Manage Eligibility Rules, Event Rules, Event Class, and Event Maintenance for Open Enrollment and life event processing.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration of benefits data with downstream systems and third-party providers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Benefits Administration, Base Benefits, and eBenefits Self-Service modules.
- Create and execute test cases, validation scripts, and regression testing for Open Enrollment activities.
- Provide functional documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to HR and Benefits teams.
- Stay updated on latest PeopleSoft PUM image updates, patches, and regulatory compliance requirements (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).
- Partner with stakeholders to optimize benefits enrollment user experience in PeopleSoft Fluid UI.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft HCM, specifically in Benefits Administration and Open Enrollment setup.
- Hands-on expertise with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.59/8.60 (latest versions).
- Strong knowledge of Benefits Administration setup components including Eligibility Rules, Plan Types, Coverage Codes, Event Rules, and Event Maintenance.
- Experience with eBenefits Self-Service & Fluid Open Enrollment configuration.
- Solid understanding of HR/Benefits business processes, compliance requirements, and payroll integration.
- Strong skills in SQL, PS Query, and PeopleSoft reporting tools for troubleshooting and data validation.
- Experience working with PUM image updates, testing, and applying fixes/enhancements.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM Cloud integrations and third-party benefits vendor interfaces.
- Familiarity with Activity Guide Framework for enhancing Open Enrollment experience.
- Knowledge of Fluid UI personalization for Open Enrollment navigation.
- Prior consulting or implementation project experience in Open Enrollment cycles.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- PeopleSoft HCM certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
