Job Details
We are looking for a highly skilled Database Engineer to lead the migration of Oracle databases to modern, cloud-native database platforms preferably Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL and Graph Databases such as Neo4j or Amazon Neptune.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, and database performance tuning, with experience in migration planning and execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
8+ years of experience working with Oracle databases
Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle performance optimization techniques.
- Solid understanding of database internals and tuning methodologies.
Experience migrating Oracle workloads to PostgreSQL, ideally Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL. - Working knowledge of AWS cloud services including RDS, DMS, SCT.
Hands-on experience in schema migration, data migration, and application compatibility analysis. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred / Good-to-Have:
- Experience with Redis for caching or in-memory data store use cases.
- Exposure to microservices architectures and database integration patterns.
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database Specialty) is a plus.
