OVERVIEW

As Head of Product Management, AI & Stablecoin at Coastal, you'll play a critical role in defining and delivering products that drive meaningful business outcomes. You'll be expected to think like an owner-making trade-offs, driving growth, and influencing results across both customer-facing products and internal platforms. You'll help shape the product and services strategy and lead the execution that brings it to life.

In this role, you will own the vision and execution of our AI and stablecoin strategy-two of Coastal's most important innovation priorities. You'll be responsible for translating these frontier technologies into real-world, scalable financial products that meet customer needs and align with evolving regulatory expectations.

You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and compliance to deliver solutions that power both our digital banking capabilities and our fintech partner experiences. You'll help define and ship product enhancements, improve internal processes, and ensure we're building with a sharp focus on customer value, scalability, and compliance. This is a high-impact role where you'll learn how to operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and financial performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE

• Own the full product lifecycle for AI and stablecoin initiatives, from early discovery through launch and iteration, ensuring alignment with Coastal's broader strategy and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Set the vision and lead execution for Coastal's Stablecoin and AI strategy, translating emerging technologies into scalable, compliant, and customer-centric financial products.
• Develop and drive product strategy in alignment with company objectives, influencing both near-term execution and long-term roadmap direction.
• Act as the product owner across multiple workstreams, prioritizing ruthlessly, managing trade-offs, and ensuring clarity of execution across cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate deeply with engineering, design, operations, compliance, and external partners to ship high-quality solutions quickly and scalably.
• Champion a hypothesis-driven, data-informed approach to product development-setting success metrics, running A/B tests, and using data to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with operations to ensure product readiness, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
• Proactively identify friction in customer experience, internal workflows, or partner integration-and drive cross-functional initiatives to resolve them.
• Mentor and support junior product managers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative product culture.
• Represent the product team in senior-level conversations, shaping strategic direction and communicating trade-offs clearly to executives and stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in fintech, AI, and infrastructure-bringing forward new ideas and turning them into actionable product opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, BaaS, embedded finance, or enterprise platforms, delivering products from zero-to-one as well as scaling existing offerings.
• Subject matter expertise in stablecoins and AI, with a track record of turning frontier tech into real-world financial products that balance innovation with regulatory rigor.
• Proven ability to own product strategy, roadmap, and execution across complex systems, balancing customer needs, technical constraints, and business objectives.
• Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial drivers, trade-offs, and how to drive impact across P&L-like metrics, even without formal ownership.
• Data-driven decision maker with hands-on experience designing experiments, interpreting results, and driving measurable outcomes.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in product workflows, with a strong interest in emerging technologies and their practical impact.
• Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, high-accountability environments; thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like setting.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority, guide executive conversations, and align cross-functional teams.
• Experience mentoring or managing product managers, and a desire to grow into broader product leadership responsibilities over time.
• Passion for solving real-world problems in regulated environments-bonus if you've worked directly with risk, compliance, or external partners in a banking context.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred but not required, demonstrated product leadership and business impact matter more.
