Job Description:
  • The Drinking Water Laboratory Technician will assist in planning, conducting, and reporting studies that support product registration for drinking water treatment testing.
  • This role involves performing laboratory tests, maintaining instruments, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and collaborating with cross-functional scientific teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, conducting, and reporting studies to support product registration for drinking water treatment testing.
  • Support laboratory testing and data generation as directed by study directors for drinking water studies.
  • Operate laboratory instrumentation including balances, centrifuges, gas chromatographs, high-performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometers, and water treatment instruments.
  • Coordinate with instrument owners and the Lab Operations team to maintain system performance and minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and follow testing protocols to prevent safety incidents.
  • Comply with laboratory safety procedures, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, neat, and complete documentation of all activities.
  • Collaborate with key individuals within the Regulatory Science function and work closely with teams such as Fate & Metabolism, Regulatory Analytical, and MSCOE to support a team-based approach to projects.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and analytical laboratory techniques.
  • Experience operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of GLP regulations and safety procedures.
  • Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Relevant laboratory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with GLP regulations, computers, and laboratory systems is desirable.
