Description:
We are seeking a skilled ADABAS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our ADABAS databases in support of business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Software AG's ADABAS/Natural environment, strong mainframe (z/OS) knowledge, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, integrity, and performance of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade ADABAS Database Systems and related software (Natural, EntireX, Predict, etc.)
  • Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Perform database cloning, patching, and migrations.
  • Collaborate with application developers and support teams to design and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Manage user access and data security in compliance with corporate policies.
  • Analyze and resolve database-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support auditing and compliance requirements related to data storage and access.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support after-hours maintenance when necessary.
