Electrical Product Design and Sustainment Engineer Support Senior Manager

The Boeing AvionX organization is seeking results-driven leader(s) to work as the Electrical Product Design and Sustainment Engineer Support Senior Manager in Hazelwood, MO. This position will lead a team of multi-skilled engineers developing and providing production and post-production support for avionics Line Replacement Unit solutions for many different customers.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of development, production and post-production support of avionics, and be an experienced manager possessing strong organization and communication skills (oral and written). They must also possess and demonstrate the ability to build effective business partnerships, have a strong background in executing programs and must have a demonstrated ability to lead teams across the organization. Additionally, the candidate shall have a background in circuit design and standard analysis and verifications tools across the electronics product development life cycle.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead electronics development projects to ensure business and customer requirements are achieved, review the program plans, make appropriate decisions and approve adjustments/recovery plans, resolve issues as they arise, manage program budget baselines, and manage project risk.
- Solve complex development, production and post-production problems utilizing program team members across all disciplines and use appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan.
- Oversee daily tasking to support completion of milestones and also work with engineering, quality, program management, and supplier management to develop action plans, resolve issues, and drive performance of the work scope.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
- Forecast, obtain and manage personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools to meet project and departmental requirements.
- Acquire, deploy and schedule personnel to meet program objectives.
- Develop plans to ensure appropriate utilization of employee skills within an organization or functional area.
- Coach, counsel, mentor and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities of their team.
- Provide on-going developmental feedback, promote employee recognition, and assist in building a departmental culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Master's degree or higher in engineering or any technical field
- Experience leading teams with Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical engineering disciplines
- Experience developing and presenting presentations to executive leadership
- Partner effectively with Software organizations using the Agile Development methodology
- Experience managing large or complex and multiple simultaneous engineering teams
- Experience with Program Management Best Practices
- Experience with LTspice and Expedition
