Myticas Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Lead for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a high-profile SAP S/4HANA transformation project within the oil and gas sector.
This leadership role will play a key part in driving finance-related workstreams, providing expert guidance on core SAP FI/CO modules, and aligning solution delivery to the needs of an asset-intensive organization.

This leadership role will play a key part in driving finance-related workstreams, providing expert guidance on core SAP FI/CO modules, and aligning solution delivery to the needs of an asset-intensive organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-OM, PCA, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define functional specs
- Drive integration with upstream and downstream modules and legacy systems
- Ensure alignment with industry best practices and EY methodology for SAP implementations
- Support UAT, cutover planning, data migration, and go-live activities
- Lead or mentor junior consultants and ensure effective knowledge transfer
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of SAP FICO experience with at least 2 full-cycle implementations
- Proven functional leadership experience on large-scale SAP projects
- Strong background in asset-intensive industries (oil and gas preferred)
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA Finance (nice to have but not required)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work onsite in Vancouver for the majority of the engagement
Contract Details:
- Duration: Initial 12 months with potential extension
- Work Location: Vancouver, BC (Calgary-based candidates may be considered with travel flexibility)
