AWS Solution Architect
Location: Remote
The HigherEchelon Salesforce Division is seeking a skilled AWS Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS services and architecture, with a focus on maintaining EC2 nodes, managing patches, and ensuring server security in DOD (Department of Defense) spaces. While prior experience with Salesforce is a bonus, it is not a requirement for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on the AWS platform.
Manage and maintain EC2 nodes, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
Conduct regular patching and updates to servers in DOD environments, adhering to strict security protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and provide technical guidance.
Perform troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to AWS infrastructure.
Stay up-to-date with AWS best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
Provide mentorship and support to junior team members as needed.
Required Skills:
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS solutions in enterprise environments.
Linux Red Hat expertise and understanding
Strong understanding of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and other key AWS services.
Experience working in DOD environments and familiarity with security compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salesforce experience is a plus but not required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance
Must be United States, Naturalized Citizen
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 3 years of AWS experience
Minimum of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification required
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification preferred
