Position Summary

This Project Controls Scheduler position provides support to Program Controls Manager in managing construction projects in planning and scheduling. This is an on-site role requiring a minimum presence of 20 hours per week at the project location.


Job Responsibilities


Project Planning and Scheduling

Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 to ensure timely project execution.

Create and maintain project baseline schedules, implementing updates based on project scope changes, risks, and resources.

Integrate schedules with other project plans and adjust as needed to reflect changes in scope or timelines.

Monitor and track project milestones and deadlines to ensure the project stays on schedule.


Risk Management

Identify schedule risks and collaborate with the project team to implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential issues.

Support the development of risk mitigation plans and track risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Gather, analyze, and interpret project data to identify trends and performance metrics.

Provide recommendations to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.

Change Management

Track and manage changes to the scope, schedule, and budget of the project.

Ensure all changes are documented and approved according to project governance processes.

Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.

Communicate regularly with project managers, senior management, and stakeholders regarding project performance, issues, and updates.

Support the preparation of presentations for project reviews and meetings.


Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in business operations, project planning and scheduling, construction management or project management.

Project scheduling experience with large capital projects.

Experience with appropriate software tools, P6 (Primavera), MS Project and Smartsheet etc.

Experience with project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, reporting, and change management

Competency in interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.

Competency in making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.


Salary Range

$125,000 $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
