Title: Autosys Administrator | Batch Scheduling Engineer

Location: Dallas/Frisco, TX

Duration/Term : Long Term Contract

 

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Autosys Administrator with strong batch job scheduling expertise to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will manage and monitor Autosys job schedules, perform administration tasks, and troubleshoot failures to ensure the reliability and efficiency of mission-critical batch processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, create, modify, and delete jobs within Autosys (using both GUI and CLI).
  • Proactively monitor job execution and agent status, escalate, and resolve job and scheduling issues as needed.
  • Troubleshoot job failures and agent connectivity problems; maintain job and schedule integrity.
  • Create and maintain job calendars, managing new day processes for multiple business applications.
  • Design, implement, and optimize new batch jobs according to application and business requirements.
  • Perform Autosys agent installation and upgrades to maintain up-to-date infrastructure.
  • Support Autosys database administration activities.
  • Collaborate with development and application support teams to integrate new workflows or resolve scheduling bottlenecks.
  • (Good to Have) Administer AWS-related automation or integrations to enhance scheduling capabilities.

 

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in Autosys administration, job scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting jobs and agent-related issues (GUI & CLI).
  • Experience with Autosys calendar creation and maintenance.
  • Skill in designing new batch jobs and optimizing existing job flows.
  • Familiarity with Autosys agent installation and basic database administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional IT/application support teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to AWS administration.
  • Familiarity with other workload automation tools (e.g., ActiveBatch, Control-M).
