Job Title: Data & Information Architect / Data Strategy Consultant

Job Type: 2 Weeks

Job Location: Remote

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Information Architect or Data Strategy Consultant to guide client organizations through a critical transition in their data environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of end-to-end enterprise data architecture, experience with healthcare data systems (specifically Epic and Cerner), and expertise in leveraging cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake. This role will be instrumental in defining future-state data strategy, ensuring seamless data integration, and fostering a unified data experience for our users.

Responsibilities: Strategic Data Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive data and information architecture strategy that aligns with organizational goals, particularly concerning the integration of Epic data with existing systems and Snowflake.
Data Environment Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of current data environments (including Oracle EDW and Cerner) to identify opportunities for optimization, transition, and integration with Epic and Snowflake.
Data Integration & Architecture: Design and oversee the architecture for integrating various data sources, including Epic, Cerner, and third-party applications (e.g., PeopleSoft), into a cohesive data ecosystem within Snowflake.
Data Governance & Guidelines: Establish clear guiding principles and best practices for data access, management, and utilization to ensure data quality, security, and a simplified user experience.
Future Data Product Enablement: Provide strategic recommendations and a roadmap for building future data and AI products, while also considering the organization's current data literacy levels.
Historical Data Management: Develop a strategy for managing historical data, recognizing that not all historical data will be migrated to Epic, especially in support of research initiatives.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including IT teams, business users, and leadership, to understand data needs, gather requirements, and communicate architectural decisions and strategic recommendations effectively.
Technology Expertise: Leverage expertise in Snowflake, Tableau, and other visualization tools to drive data utilization and insights. Understand the implications of moving to Azure with Epic for near real-time data capabilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven experience (10+ years) in data architecture, data strategy, or data consulting roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Extensive experience with Epic and Cerner data models and integration patterns.
Strong expertise in cloud-based data warehousing solutions, specifically Snowflake.
Experience with other data technologies such as Hadoop and Oracle EDW.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic roadmaps and provide actionable recommendations for complex data environments.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
