Job Description:

The Network Systems Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. This role involves performing system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources, and reviewing system and application logs. The administrator will analyze network and server resource consumption, control user access, install and upgrade software, and maintain software licenses. Additionally, the role includes configuring and updating Windows and Linux-based servers, implementing security measures, performing regular system updates and backups, and troubleshooting network problems. The administrator will also document processes and procedures, manage user accounts, and collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree + 5 years of Network Administration experience.
  • Associate s degree and at least 7-yrs experience in place of Bachelor s degree.
  • Active DoD Secret (or above) Security Clearance.
  • 5 years of experience working with Windows Server, MS Office, Symantec Endpoint, and third-party tools.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring, installing, and updating Linux-based servers.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security policies, and access control management.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration and enterprise email system management.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze system performance and recommend optimizations.
  • Experience supporting Information Assurance (IA) security procedures (e.g., scanning and mitigation).
  • Expertise in backup and disaster recovery planning.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
