Role: Senior Network Security Engineer
Location: Remote will be required to come on site once a month in Reston, VA, and as needed to resolve issues. Must live in the DC, MD, VA Region

Summary: Client is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer. This resource will administer security technology systems by architecting and engineering/developing trusted systems into secure systems. As a Senior Network Security Engineer, this resource will be responsible for operating and maintaining the network security infrastructure to support mission-critical operations.

Oversee security infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration of security tools (Palo Alto firewalls, F5 WAF, Illumio, Proofpoint mail gateways, IDS, AWS, and other security tools).

Required Experience:
10 + years of IT experience
Recent 2-3 years of demonstrated experience with Palo Alto firewall
Recent 2 years of demonstrated experience with F5 WAF and or Illumio Micro segmentation
Demonstrated expertise in TCP/IP fundamentals, IP subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network management

Nice to have:
Prior healthcare payer industry experience
Demonstrated experience with AWS security tools
Demonstrated experience with Proofpoint Gateway (Email Security)
Demonstrated experience with Splunk and Palo Alto SOAR Thanks,
