PeopleSoft Developer HCM
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer to work closely with the Technical Lead on a PeopleTools Upgrade Project.
The developer will manage and review work products, create design documents for new customizations, and coordinate with multiple teams throughout the project life cycle.
This role focuses on reapplying production customizations, designing, and developing new enhancements for NYCAPS PeopleSoft HCM applications including Core HR, Benefits, Recruiting, Absence Management, and Performance Management modules.
Key Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and implement new applications and enhancements for PeopleSoft HCM.
Reapply and maintain production customizations for new releases.
Collaborate with end users, product owners, and development teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Create and review technical design documents, perform data/code analysis, and ensure thorough documentation.
Develop complex interfaces to legacy and third-party systems.
Troubleshoot and validate data using SQL and PS/Query.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience working with multiple versions of PeopleSoft and PeopleTools across HCM modules.
Strong expertise with PeopleSoft HCM v9.2 PUM 39+ (Fluid technology) and PeopleTools v8.59+.
Proven implementation, design, and customization experience for PeopleTools upgrades.
Proficiency in PeopleSoft development tools: PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Workflow, Integration Broker, SQR, and COBOL stored procedure customization.
Skilled in creating/modifying data conversion scripts and building complex system interfaces.
Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of STAT Tool, Oracle, and SQL Server.
Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Fluid technology and Web Services.
Background in large-scale, enterprise-wide implementations.
Familiarity with CA Scheduler Tool.
Education
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical/business discipline.
