Data analyst

We have a 6+ month contract opportunity for a Data Analyst. This role is remote but candidates located in commuting distance to Research Triangle Park, NC will be given preference.

Job Description:

The Data Analyst will manage and analyze data to support decision-making, with a focus on creating actionable insights. The role involves refining and implementing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring data accuracy, and providing analysis to support compliance and strategic goals. The Data Analyst will perform ad hoc, non-routine data analysis to meet business needs. 3-5 years of experience are required.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Weekly bookings forecast analysis, consolidation and submission

- Assist with Monthly bookings dashboard refresh, Quarterly business review/scorecard package

- Quarter end bookings flash

- Fiscal New Year Readiness - goaling data analysis, modeling, restatement analysis, reporting, data tie out and issue resolution

- Ad hoc bookings reporting and analysis

You are a motivated and enthusiastic Data Analyst who is driven to learn and grow within the Finance organization. You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), a strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, and the ability to work optimally under time pressure. Excel in business partnerships and bring high level of analytical rigor in everything you do.

Tools:

- Must-Have:

o Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, INDEX-MATCH, etc.)

o PowerPoint for data presentation and reporting.

- Preferred (Strongly Desired):

o Power Query

o Business Objects

o Essbase

o Anaplan

o Salesforce
