The Project Engineer serves as a key contributor within a fast-paced engineering team, responsible for delivering technically sound solutions that exceed client expectations. This role involves making strategic decisions in collaboration with team leads and may include limited involvement in marketing, business development, and client communications. Job Details
The Project Engineer serves as a key contributor within a fast-paced engineering team, responsible for delivering technically sound solutions that exceed client expectations. This role involves making strategic decisions in collaboration with team leads and may include limited involvement in marketing, business development, and client communications. The position offers the chance to work on diverse site improvement projects across multiple markets and regions.
Core Responsibilities
- Exercise professional judgment to complete engineering tasks independently
- Assign and manage project schedules and responsibilities under team leadership
- Delegate work across internal teams and ensure quality through established QA/QC processes
- Review technical documents and recommend improvements
- Identify and resolve technical, scheduling, or financial issues through proactive communication
- Respond to contractor inquiries and issue project addenda as needed
- Support proposal development including time and cost estimation
- Communicate directly with clients and team leads on technical matters
- Hydrology/hydraulic modeling and local permitting experience are a plus
- Experience with residential, commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, and industrial projects is beneficial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of design/engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office Suite, and engineering automation tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities for both routine and complex tasks
