Job Description:
Reporting to a more senior level engineering staff/manager or higher, this associate brings technical skills to support engineering projects in the lab and/or office environment. The associate will support different verification and validation activities related to infusion disposable products. These activities include but are not limited to following protocol and conducting testing, assisting engineering teams in test method validation or various engineering tasks, prototype building, equipment maintenance, sustaining engineering, verification and validation, and design transfer.
Responsibilities:
  • Execution of designed test protocol and conduct testing.
  • Support training and onboarding new and junior technicians.
  • Conducts equipment maintenance and qualification.
  • Work with the engineering team to support project execution and completion of technical tasks that may require handling chemicals or sharps.
  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Prepares reports and summaries for internal review.
  • Supports lab team in general lab workstreams including equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Notifies manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project.
  • Effective documentation and communication of test results or test observations with the engineering team.
  • Support transfer of new test methods to the lab.
  • Follows general & safety laboratory protocols and supports junior technicians to follow the same protocols.
Requirements:
  • combination of equivalent education and experience. A minimum of training of high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with 2-4 years relevant experience in a relevant R&D setting.
  • technical degree such as B.S. degree + 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • bility to follow processes, protocols and support developing them.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team setting with onsite and remote colleagues.
  • Proficiency in personal computers.
