Job Title: Senior Teradata Developer Healthcare Domain

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Teradata Developer with strong technical expertise in data warehousing, ETL design, and performance optimization within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with large datasets, ensuring data quality, and developing complex SQL and Teradata procedures to support healthcare analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL scripts, macros, BTEQ, and stored procedures for enterprise-level data processing.
- Implement ETL processes using Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, TPT).
- Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design and enhance data warehouse models and ensure high performance.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and profiling to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of healthcare data.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines supporting claims, member, provider, and clinical datasets.
- Participate in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting Teradata systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and reporting teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy/security regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers.
- Contribute to data migration and modernization initiatives involving Teradata and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a Teradata Developer in enterprise-scale environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, TPT, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience in ETL design, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.
- Experience working with healthcare data (claims, member eligibility, provider, encounters, clinical data, etc.).
- Proficiency with data quality, metadata management, and data governance practices.
- Exposure to BI/Reporting tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data integration tools (Informatica, DataStage, or Talend) preferred.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys).
- Understanding of cloud data platforms (Teradata Vantage on AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Education:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Teradata certification(s) preferred
