Role: Varicent Business Analyst/Implementation Consultant
Location: US (Remote)


Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Varicent Business Analyst & Implementation Consultant to
support the successful delivery of Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) solutions. This
role bridges business needs and technical implementation, ensuring Varicent configurations
align with client compensation strategy and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Lead business requirement gathering and process mapping sessions with stakeholders
Analyze compensation plans and translate them into functional specifications for Varicent
implementation
Document business rules, calculation logic, workflows, and reporting needs
Collaborate with solution architects and developers to design scalable Varicent configurations
Support data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities
Train end users and provide post-go-live support
Act as a liaison between business teams and technical consultants throughout the project
lifecycle
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a business analyst or consultant role implementing Varicent
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to manage client expectations and deliver solutions in a deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail

Technical Skills and Certifications:
Varicent Platform Expertise:
Deep hands-on experience with Varicent Composer, Calculation Designer, Workflow
Manager, and Reporting modules
Proven ability to design and implement complex compensation logic and custom calculations
Varicent Certified Implementation Professional (required or to be completed within 90 days)
Varicent Certified Composer Specialist (preferred)
Additional certifications in data analytics or project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum, Tableau)
are a plus
Strong understanding of ICM concepts and compensation plan structures
Basic understanding of data modeling and SQL for querying and validating data
Familiarity with data integration concepts and working with large datasets

Experience in testing, user training, and change management processes

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other Sales Performance Management (SPM) tools, such as Xactly, Anaplan
or Spiff.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
Experience working with cloud-based SaaS platforms and data visualization tools.
