Job Details
Title: Senior/Lead Robotics Engineer
Rate: Best Minimum
Location: Mountain View, CA
Contract length: 6+ months with high likelihood of extension
Required start date: ASAP
Level: Senior/Lead Engineer

Description:
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain robotic arms, end-effectors (grippers), and peripheral hardware in lab and production environments
- Perform hardware calibration, including camera calibration, robot arm calibration, and tool center point alignment (TCP)
- Execute and validate inverse kinematics (IK) and motion validation testing to ensure accurate robot motion and task execution
- Collaborate with simulation engineers to align physical robot setups with virtual models, ensuring consistency between simulated and real-world environments
- Support real-world data collection efforts, including sensor setup, data logging, and troubleshooting
- Integrate and deploy ML models onto physical robots, ensuring proper data flow and system stability
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 2 5 years of hands-on experience with industrial or collaborative robots (e.g., UR, KUKA, ABB, FANUC, etc)
- Proficiency in robot hardware setup and calibration (camera, robot, gripper, TCP)
- Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) and common robotics middleware
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and integration tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
