Description: As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business. ? Perform GIS/drafting duties and assignments of moderate scope. ? Follow standard organizational practices and guidelines. ? Solve problems of somewhat complex nature and assist less-experienced staff members with solving problems and resolving issues. ? Prepare custom maps and diagrams from GIS data. ? Meet with users to define data needs, project requirements, required outputs, or to develop applications. ? Conduct research to locate and obtain existing GIS features or datasets. ? Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from staff and determine how best the information can be displayed using GIS. ? Compile and analyze GIS/tabular data from a variety of sources and deliver readable and usable reports. ? Design and update GIS database, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations. ? Provide GIS analysis and support to multiple internal departments. ? Analyze spatial relationships among varying types of data from a multitude of sources. ? Tag, document and store historical project data in line with organizational and departmental guidelines. ? Move, copy, delete, and add files, drawings, and maps to output reports in hard copy or electronic transfer. ? Convert electronic files to PDF and upload to File Management Database. ? Update splice connections and create circuit paths within 3GIS online platform. You enjoy analyzing problems and having the autonomy to select and implement the right solutions. While you work well independently, you are also a great team player and enjoy leading colleagues and coordinating efforts to ensure best outcomes. No stranger to a fast-paced environment, you manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while staying focused on important deadlines. As a strong communicator, you can quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can comprehend. Requirements ? Associate's degree or position related certifications. ? Four or more years of relevant work experience. ? A valid driver's license. ? Proficiency/experience with ArcGIS feature creation, editing, and query tools. ? Experience with ArcGIS Pro, specifically in data analysis and problem-solving workflows. ? Experience with online GIS applications (3GIS experience a plus). ? Ability to work with data in both remote and local repositories. ? Experience with capturing vector features with attribute data into a GIS inventory application. ? Knowledge of GIS data topology and experience in identifying data issues and their underlying causes. ? Proficiency in troubleshooting software/tool errors of moderate complexity. ? Knowledge of relational databases and how data flows between tables and features. ? Experience with reading/interpreting fiber construction as-builts and fiber splicing cut sheets or schematics. ? Experience with Telecom OSP facility inventory (fiber cable, conduits, fiber strands, splice connections, etc.) ? Experience in documenting circuit paths by completing splice connections on cable routes in GIS inventory. ? Experience creating complements (signal paths), generating Fiber Layout Records and assisting with Circuit Layout Record creation. ? Knowledge of fiber characterization data. ? Ability to pay close attention to detail while recognizing overarching trends and patterns in data.
