SUMMARY
Security Analyst with knowledge of identity and access management, account provisioning processes, data analysis, user monitoring. Analyst will need to coordinate with application and platform owners/managers to obtain and review user access lists, compare against WP approved users list, coordinate access changes and user account removal, perform access verification, and review monitoring tools for unauthorized user activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
User Termination Monitoring:
o Monitor Workday for employee terminations on a daily basis.
o Identify terminated users and validate their downstream application access.
o Cross-reference user identity records with provisioning systems to confirm deprovisioning.
Access Revocation Coordination:
o Work with application owners to confirm that access for terminated users has been revoked.
o Follow up on any discrepancies where users still have access post-termination.
Track and document deprovisioning actions for audit and compliance.
Stale Account Identification:
o Review user access logs and last login timestamps for signs of inactivity.
o Generate reports to highlight stale accounts (e.g., no login for 90+ days).
o Include both human and non-human accounts (e.g., service accounts) in the review.
Remediation and Follow-up:
o Notify application owners of stale or orphaned accounts and request validation or removal.
o Coordinate with the IAM operations team to disable or remove accounts as needed.
o Maintain an escalation process for unresolved or high-risk findings.
Access Review Support:
o Support periodic access reviews (UARs) by providing data on terminated users and stale accounts.
o Ensure terminated users are marked appropriately in reviews to ensure access is not reapproved in error.
Audit and Compliance Readiness:
o Maintain logs and evidence of termination checks, stale account reviews, and remediation steps.
o Assist with internal/external audit requests related to identity lifecycle and access hygiene.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Sr. Management, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must Have Skills:
5+ Years of experience as Security Analyst
5+ years of experience in IAM (Identity and access management)
