We are looking for a Senior Analytics Applications Engineer to support our application engineering efforts in the Analytic and Application Engineering group.

This position will be the application expert for reciprocating machines to include: reciprocating compressors, hyper Compressors, and compression and spark ignition reciprocating engines.

As a Senior Analytics Application Engineer, you will:
  • Provide technical leadership to product development and sustaining teams supporting reciprocating machinery sensors, edge devices, and condition monitoring software.
  • Assist field engineers in diagnosing machinery and instrumentation faults.
  • Analyze field data and classify faults for analytics.
  • Promote a pipeline of field data for analytic development.
  • Synthesize new analytics to enhance protection, diagnostics, and condition monitoring.
  • Interface with technology, commercial, and services teams to establish current and future product and services needs.
  • Assist commercial/technology in understanding our competitor product solution landscape.
  • Generate / assist in the development and presentation of product solution/technical research papers.
  • Develop and conduct technical training classes for technology; mentor other engineers to extend application expertise.
  • Assist research/ product development / commercial for future hardware, software, firmware, and sensor needs.
  • Assist with beta testing of new products.
  • Assist with identifying critical features that solve customer problems
  • Assist in the creation of a technology roadmap to match the commercial teams product roadmap.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Reciprocating Machines in the petrochemical industry


Desired Characteristics
  • Understanding of Bently Nevada product solutions, customer machines, and processes around reciprocating machine applications.
  • Expertise in reciprocating machine diagnostics, applications, instrumentation, and analytics.
  • Excellent oral presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to continue complicated jobs to completion in a timely manner.
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
