Job Details

Description

Gather and define service parts business and technical requirements including Uniform Parts Classification (UPC), Functional Name Address (FNA), Uniform Model Designator (UMD), Regular Production Option (RPO), and Vehicle Description Summary (VDS) part number attributes usage and system logic of service parts usage in vehicles. Plan, design, implement, launch/improve Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) web-based Aftersales Release and Cataloguing (ARC) system to authorize part releases from warehouses to dealers and to publish service part numbers in GM-dealer/distributor Electronic Part Catalogue (EPC). Document new ARC and legacy Engineering Releasing and Publication Activity (ERAPA) part release system processes and performance. Plan and ensure end user training during 5-7 year transition from ERAPA to ARC, with millions of individual part numbers. Collaborate with Software Developers, SPI Analysts, and Aftersales Service Release Engineers to define, refine, integrate, and release/improve web-based ARC supporting millions of current and thousands of new part numbers annually and vehicle service part applications (by vehicle brand, platform, architecture, and commodities including Chassis, HVAC, Propulsion, Interior, Body, Electrical and Thermal).

Additional Description

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Service Parts or Aftermarket Parts Coordinator, Service Parts or Aftermarket Parts Engineer, Advanced Serviceability of Design Engineer, Service Parts Information (SPI) Process Coordinator, or related role. Must also have experience with: defining or releasing part number attributes usage and system logic of service parts usage in vehicles, authorizing part releases from warehouses to dealers and publishing service part numbers in OEM -dealer/distributor electronic part catalogue, or related.
