Job Summary
As the Oracle SCM Implementation Architect, you will be the lead functional architect and
subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Management implementations.
You will own the overall solution design, ensuring that the system architecture aligns perfectly
with the client's business objectives. This role requires a unique blend of deep functional
expertise, hands-on configuration skills, and the ability to lead complex projects from design
through to post-go-live support. Your primary focus will be on designing robust, scalable
solutions, with a special emphasis on manufacturing and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Solution Design: Architect end-to-end SCM solutions in Oracle Fusion Cloud,
covering manufacturing, inventory, order management, and costing.
- Full Life-Cycle Implementation: Lead and participate in all phases of the
implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design,
configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Expert Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration of Oracle SCM modules,
including but not limited to Process Manufacturing, Discrete Manufacturing, Cost
Management, Inventory Management, and Order Management.
- Cost Management SME: Act as the primary expert for Oracle Cost Management.
Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and design solutions to fix complex costing issues,
such as transaction errors and inventory valuation problems.
- Architectural Governance: Ensure the solution is scalable, sustainable, and adheres to
Oracle best practices. Guide the project team on all functional and configuration
decisions.
- Team Leadership: Effectively lead and collaborate with a global team of onshore and
offshore resources, providing mentorship, guidance, and quality assurance on all
configuration and development work.
- Client Engagement: Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to
business stakeholders. Build trusted relationships with clients, manage expectations, and
ensure successful project delivery.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- Oracle Cloud Experience: A minimum of two full life-cycle Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM
implementation experiences is mandatory.
- SCM Module Expertise: Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with a broad
range of Oracle SCM modules, with a deep specialization in:
Process Manufacturing
Discrete Manufacturing
Cost Management (Actual, Standard, and Landed Costing)
- Implementation Architect Role: Proven experience acting as the lead functional
architect on large-scale SCM implementation projects.
- Troubleshooting Acumen: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues,
particularly within Cost Management, and devise effective solutions.
- Configuration Skills: Expert-level ability in configuring Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM
modules to meet complex business requirements without relying on customizations.
- Global Team Management: Proven experience working effectively with and managing
both onshore and offshore development and configuration resources.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to lead workshops, create high-quality design documents, and present to
executive-level audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SkuVault or other third-party inventory management systems and their
migration to Oracle.
- Knowledge of Oracle Quality Management and Outside Processing (OSP).
- Oracle Cloud SCM certifications.
- Experience in the CPG, Life Sciences, or manufacturing industries
