Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Product Owner to lead initiatives focused on acquiring, integrating, and enhancing clinical data across multiple health plan systems. This role is responsible for shaping product direction, coordinating with business and technical teams, and ensuring smooth execution of enhancements and new capabilities within clinical data workflows. The ideal individual brings strong product or project management experience and a genuine interest in advancing healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Direction

  • Partner with business leaders to define and refine product goals related to clinical data intake, transformation, and utilization.

  • Translate business objectives into clear product plans, outlining features, functionality, and priority initiatives.

  • Establish a long-term roadmap supporting system consolidation, data integration, and operational optimization within the clinical data ecosystem.

Backlog Ownership

  • Build, organize, and update the product backlog, ensuring alignment with stakeholder priorities and technical capacity.

  • Evaluate requests, identify high-value enhancements, and maintain a transparent prioritization process.

  • Support development teams by providing clarity on requirements, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Engage regularly with operational leaders, technology teams, quality teams, and subject matter experts to gather input and validate requirements.

  • Serve as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical business partners to ensure mutual understanding of solution design and constraints.

  • Facilitate discussions that drive consensus and remove roadblocks throughout the product lifecycle.

Documentation & Knowledge Enablement

  • Prepare and maintain product documentation, including feature descriptions, process flows, and release notes.

  • Deliver user training and assist in onboarding groups impacted by new features or system capabilities.

  • Support knowledge transfer to teams responsible for ongoing support and maintenance.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Familiarity with clinical data intake processes, payer systems, or healthcare technology solutions (experience with platforms such as Epic s payer-facing modules is a plus).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to navigate conversations with diverse business and IT teams.

  • Ability to lead without direct authority, manage competing priorities, and drive progress in a fast-moving environment.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex initiatives involving data, workflows, and cross-functional dependencies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree required.

  • 5 7+ years of experience in product management, project management, or a related discipline.

  • Experience working within healthcare, clinical data, or health plan systems is strongly preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • Epic platform certifications or hands-on experience (preferred but not required).

  • PMP or other project management credentials (preferred).
