Job Title: Project Planner Raleigh NC
Hybrid: 2 days at the office/ 3 days remote
6 Months with possible extension
Seeking a project planner for major substation protection control & automation projects in our Grid Automation business. This role supports planning for multiple projects including complete ownership of developing, maintaining and communicating schedules in accordance with established project planning structure and formats with key stakeholders.
You ll work as part of our client team, which serves utility, industrial, and commercial customers with products and services to help distribute electricity efficiently and reliably, maintain power quality, and control and manage electrical networks while minimizing the environmental impact.
This key role oversees converting demands (forecasts, customer orders, customer schedules, contract demands, etc.) into schedules (into Primavera P6 or MS Project) to ensure that matched sets of material, equipment, services, and capacities are available to meet the customer needs in a cost-effective manner within the volumes as specified by project managers. Creates, follows, and updates project demands (supplier activities engineering activities, tests, approvals, specifications, etc.) accordingly to each project phase or responsibility. The planner has the responsibility for making detailed decisions and keeping the material moving through the plant, as well as services between the factory and the site.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Technical Degree, or similar with a minimum of 3 years of combined experience in project or portfolio planning
- Good analytical, communication, and organization skills
- Expert in Primavera P6 Scheduling
- Available for short-period travels to US or Canadian locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Substation Projects, Substation Automation, Protection, and Control, or Telecommunications, Microgrids, Battery/Energy Storage Systems, Process Automation projects
- Experience with planning large power generation EPC contracts and/or large High Voltage infrastructure projects and/or large data center
- General experience with SAP, including the Project System module or a similar ERP tool.
