Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)

Job Description:
This role involves a blend of business analysis, data engineering, and software development, focusing on the migration and enhancement of the Duck Creek Claims system to the Origami platform.
Key responsibilities include:

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Collaborating with product and business users to understand workflows, identify needs, and translate those into technical requirements for software solutions.
• Data Engineering & Migration: Designing and implementing data transformation solutions to migrate data from diverse sources into the Origami database. This includes developing SQL scripts, performing data mapping, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.
• Software Development & Implementation: Developing and configuring Origami software, including custom reports and integrations, within an agile development framework. Implementing and testing software solutions to meet business requirements.
• System Maintenance & Enhancement: Providing ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements to existing systems and platforms. Identifying areas for continuous improvement and implementing those improvements.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (business users, project managers, engineers) to deliver high-quality, elegant solutions. Contributing to a culture of best practices and technological excellence within the engineering team.
• Project Management (as needed): Depending on project scope, this role may also include project management responsibilities.
• Architecture Oversight: Work with Architects and the System Integrator to review and guide the architecture of new solutions, focusing on alignment, enterprise extensibility, and the elimination of technical debt.

Skills Required:

• Full-Stack Development Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in both front-end and back-end software technologies.
• Cloud & Digital Platform Experience: Proven experience working with cloud-based and digital platforms.
• Agile Development Expertise: Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Lean, Scrum, XP).
• Collaborative Teamwork: Excellent collaborative skills, proven ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, designers, and product owners.
• Adaptable Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of adapting communication style to diverse audiences.
• Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate complex decision-making processes effectively.
  Skills Preferred: Technical Skills:
  Proficiency in SQL, XML, C#, HTML/CSS, JSON, Python, and JavaScript.
  Experience with database migrations, conversions, and integrations across diverse software systems.
  Familiarity with Agile development, DevSecOps practices, APIs, microservices, and test automation tools (Cypress, Newman Postman, Selenium).
  Experience with SCM tools like GitHub.
  Basic understanding of cloud architecture, security, platforms, and automation.
  Experience Required:
  3+ years of experience supporting the full software implementation lifecycle, with a mandatory focus on Origami, Duck Creek, or Guidewire SaaS solutions.
  Experience integrating these solutions with third-party systems is highly preferred.
  Education Required:
  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
