Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, code, configure, tune and implement multi-tier Cloud and on premise observability and monitoring solutions. Define and implement full plant monitoring patterns including business and technical Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives and Service Level Agreements. Design, Code, Test and Deliver software to automate manual operational work. Participate in an agile development process and work closely with business stakeholders. Collaborate with Architects, Team Leads, and Design Authorities across multiple areas. Participate in Development Modernization efforts and the adoption of emerging and modern technologies. Align with the security standards and guidelines to ensure systems are secure and protected. Continue to improve Continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and the overall development experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Software development of Java such as Core and EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Spring Cloud applications; Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps practices and tools including GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Sonar; Bash scripting; infrastructure as a code including terraform; Cloud Formation; RDBMS systems; oracle SQL; postgres SQL; Public Cloud deployments including AWS; Container and Orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry; Cloud and on premise Site Reliability Engineering Observability and Monitoring services; machine data technologies including Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk, and ITRS Geneos; Event processing and messaging technologies including Kafka; Microservices and Multi-tier Architectures and design across all systems; Agile Methodology and Tools including JIRA.
