Job Title: APIGEE Developer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with 7+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or API management
  • Expertise in Apigee X configuration, hybrid runtime management, and API lifecycle
  • Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Armor, IAM, Pub/Sub, BigQuery,
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CloudFormation.
  • Advanced Terraform skills for provisioning multi-cloud and Apigee X environments.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless wor
  • Deep understanding of multi-cloud networking, security, and governance pattern
  • Familiarity with DevOps automation tools and observability frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Google Cloud Apigee Certification or equivalent experience.
Experience implementing Apigee hybrid or X-to-X migration strategies.
Exposure to Service Mesh (Anthos, Istio) and Zero Trust architectures.
Working knowledge of API monetization, developer onboarding, and analytics custom
Develop reusable Terraform modules to automate provisioning of Apigee X organizations, environments.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation:

Integrate API deployment automation via CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Implement configuration management and policy-as-code frameworks for consistent enforcement across.

DevOps, Observability & Reliability:

Manage cloud operations for Apigee X and associated workloads, ensuring high availability and resilience.
Implement observability solutions (Cloud Logging, Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to monitor AF
Apply SRE principles-incident response, SLIs/SLOs, and postmortem processes-to maintain service reliability.

Security, Compliance & Governance:

Define and enforce API security posture across multiple clouds using IAM, service accounts, encryption, and
Ensure alignment with compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, GDPR).
Automate security scanning and remediation in CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with InfoSec teams to continuously harden Apigee X and multi-cloud environments.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Partner with application, data, and security teams to design API-first, microservices-based architectures.
Mentor engineers in Apigee X configuration, multi-cloud networking, and automation best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on performance, cost optimization, and operational.
