Pay rate: $35-41/hr.

Job description:

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing projects using CAD to 3D print objects. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed CAD models and technical drawings for various engineering projects.
  • Use CAD drawings to 3D print tools and parts for the plant.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure models meet project specifications and requirements.
  • Reverse engineer parts that can be made using 3D printing technology and update models based on feedback from engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Revise and update models based on feedback from engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Work with plant personnel to improve certain aspects of a device.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CAD standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Teach basic CAD techniques and show others how to look up drawings.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience using CAD to print 3D working models of parts and fixtures.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Unigraphics/NX (preferred), AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
