Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Outage Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong understanding of end-to-end (E2E) utility processes to support a focused 6-week engagement. The SME will work closely with business stakeholders, IT, and architecture teams to identify current issues, process and logic gaps, and provide strategic guidance on remediation and optimization across Outage Management Systems (OMS), ERP, and related platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and document end-to-end outage management flows across business and technical domains.

  • Analyze business scenarios and underlying business logic related to outage lifecycle management.

  • Conduct process and gap assessments, identifying logic inconsistencies, inefficiencies, or breakdowns.

  • Collaborate with system and architecture teams to ensure alignment of business needs with technical capabilities.

  • Provide high-level guidance on integrated landscapes, including OMS, ERP, and outage notification platforms (vendor-agnostic).

  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with key stakeholders to gather insights and validate findings.

  • Deliver a final roadmap and strategic recommendations to address existing issues and improve overall outage management effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Outage Management within the Utilities sector.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end utility business flows, especially outage-related processes.

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize business logic and operational pain points into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with OMS and ERP systems, as well as associated outage communication and notification platforms (agnostic to vendors).

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Experience delivering gap analyses and strategic roadmaps.
