Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer Media Full Stack & Backend to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PHP, React, and C++, along with hands-on experience in media ingestion, encoding, and media stack development.
In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, debug, and optimize scalable media systems. You will be responsible for improving performance, reliability, and operational excellence across backend and full-stack services supporting media workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Debug and troubleshoot complex backend and media ingestion systems to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
- Design, develop, and maintain media full stack and backend applications using PHP, React, and C++.
- Collaborate with media engineers to optimize media ingestion and encoding pipelines for improved efficiency and user experience.
- Implement best practices for operational excellence, including system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues before they become critical.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Make system-level changes within the media stack to resolve issues related to ingestion, encoding, and delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
- Basic mentoring capability to provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members.
- Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on media full stack and backend development.
- Hands-on experience with media ingestion and encoding systems.
- Practical exposure to modern media encoding formats such as AV1 and HEVC.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems.
