Job Details

Position: Workday HCM Functional Consultant

Location: Remote (USA)

Work Type: C2C only

Experience: 12+ Years

Contract: 3-6 month contract (Possible extension)

PETADATA is looking to hire for the position of Workday HCM Functional Consultant for one of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the configuration and maintenance of the Job Changes module within Workday HCM.

  • Work closely with HR business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements related to job movements and organizational changes.

  • Design scalable and compliant business processes for employee job changes such as promotions, lateral moves, job reclassifications, position changes, and more.

  • Ensure proper configuration of related components like compensation changes, position management, supervisory organizations, and security roles.

  • Coordinate with integration and reporting teams to ensure accurate data flow and reporting on job changes.

  • Conduct system testing, including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Support change management and training efforts related to new or updated job change processes.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide end-user support for Workday job change transactions.

  • Document configuration changes and maintain process maps and SOPs.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience, with a minimum of 2 years focusing on Job Changes functionality.

  • Strong understanding of core HCM modules including business process framework, supervisory orgs, positions, compensation, and security.

  • Proven experience in configuring and optimizing Workday Job Change business processes.

  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and design solutions within Workday.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday certification in HCM Core or relevant modules (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Experience with Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields.

  • Exposure to global job change processes and compliance requirements.

  • Experience working in large, complex organizations or across multiple geographies.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Business, or a related field.
