Cloud One - DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Remote
Description:
HigherEchelon is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to contribute to the overall strategic vision for cloud projects by integrating a broad range of innovative solutions to meet client requirements. This role is responsible for the design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture of complex cloud environments, utilizing advanced engineering and research methodologies to solve highly technical cloud systems challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to the overall strategic vision and integrate a broad range of cloud solutions in support of client requirements for cloud projects.
Formulate and define system scope and objectives; develop or modify processes to solve complex problems for cloud systems and for business and electronic interfaces, leveraging innovative technologies to achieve desired results.
Develop and apply advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced cloud requirements, including hardware/software interfaces and applications.
Conduct activities in system design, development, integration, engineering, and cloud architecture, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for enterprise needs.
Provide technical leadership on the planning and execution of major project phases, conducting complex analysis and solution development.
As senior staff, manage, plan, and lead significant components of major projects, ensuring high-quality results and effective integration with enterprise objectives.
In general, work complexity and responsibility will be greater at higher levels.
Required Skills:
Experience with integration of SW with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Architecture
Experience with integration of SW with IBM WebSphere and Red Hat OpenShift on Azure
Experience hosting applications on commercial cloud providers with a focus on Azure environments
Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms and tools including Docker or Kubernetes
Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle
Active Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with Air Force Cloud One.
Experience automating infrastructure provisioning with tools including CloudFormation or Terraform
Experience automating CI/CD pipelines with tools including Jenkins or GitLab
Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Maven, Gradle, NPM
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Linux Shell Script
Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
8+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
