Job Details
Client requires a Senior Enterprise Network Engineer to provide networking and firewall rule support for application connectivity in Hybrid environment.
This position will serve as an Network Engineer to support applications hosted in the cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-Prem.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security.
Create firewall rules for environments.
Assist the Operations and cloud team as requested.
Maintain and keep track of all technical duties related to cloud networking such as design, implementation, and support.
Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput, slowness, and
unexpected latency.
Required Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization
- Experience with routers, routing protocols, transit gateways, load balancing, and overall cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routes, security.
- Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment.
- Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies.
- Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with name services and resolution, associated IP assignments.
- Knowledge of core network services (including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies)
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues.
- Self-motivated with strong team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure components: compute, storage, network management, and monitoring (network and security)
- Knowledge of WAF as a Service (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
