UX Content Designer

Location: Vienna, VA (Hybrid onsite at least 2x/week)
Duration: Contract to Hire

Shape end-to-end product experiences by creating clear, meaningful content that helps members achieve their goals. Drive the content vision and ensure cohesive product narratives across digital platforms and touchpoints, from product flows and interface copy to emails, notifications, and education materials.

< data-start="767" data-end="792">Key Responsibilities</>

  • Design, write, edit, and test UX content for web, mobile, and other digital experiences.

  • Establish and manage content strategy throughout product development.

  • Develop messaging guidelines, tone/voice standards, and naming conventions.

  • Audit existing content, identify gaps, and propose improvements.

  • Partner with product, design, research, legal, engineering, and marketing teams.

  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables independently.

  • Advocate for content best practices and mentor peers.

  • Education: Bachelor s in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent (Master s preferred).

  • Experience: 7+ years in UX Content Design, UX writing, or Content Strategy.

  • Advanced writing/editing and storytelling skills; strong project management and communication abilities.

  • Familiarity with user-centered design, modern development standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics), and web/mobile design best practices.

  • Financial services knowledge and Human Factors Institute certification are pluses.
