Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CMS/SDL Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both SDL Sites and SDL Docs. In this role, you will be responsible for creating content types in SDL Sites, contributing to the publishing pipeline, and developing SDL extensions. Additionally, you will build APIs using Node.js and TypeScript to support content management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Management:
- Develop and maintain content types in SDL Sites and SDL Docs to streamline content management processes.
- Contribute to the publishing pipeline to ensure efficient deployment and management of content.
- SDL Extensions Development:
- Create and customize SDL extensions to enhance the functionality and performance of the CMS.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate custom modules and optimize the SDL platform.
- API Development:
- Build robust and scalable APIs using Node.js and TypeScript to support CMS workflows and content management.
- Implement, test, and maintain APIs that integrate with SDL Sites and SDL Docs.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, designers, and engineers to gather requirements and deliver CMS-based solutions.
- Provide technical support for the CMS and SDL tools to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Documentation & Best Practices:
- Document code, configurations, and implementations to maintain clarity and transparency for the team.
- Follow best practices in Node.js, TypeScript, and SDL extension development to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Work Environment:
- Work in a PST time zone and collaborate effectively with remote and on-site team members.
- Be flexible to participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews across time zones.
Core Skills:
- SDL Sites and SDL Docs: Strong expertise in SDL Sites and SDL Docs for content management.
- Node.js/TypeScript: Experience in API development and building extensions using Node.js and TypeScript.
- CMS Development: Ability to create and manage content types and contribute to publishing pipelines.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work in a cross-functional team.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to resolve technical issues and provide ongoing support for content management systems.
