Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager (Cloud)
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Fully Onsite)
Full-time / W2 - with Infinite Computer Solutions
Exp-(TPM) to lead a high-impact Cloud Infrastructure project.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead a high-impact Cloud Infrastructure project. This role requires hands-on leadership to drive the end-to-end execution of complex cloud transformation initiatives involving infrastructure automation, modernization, and data center/cloud transitions. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing enterprise-scale technical programs, especially in cloud, infrastructure, and platform engineering, while aligning with business goals and timelines.
Required Skillsets:
- 7 10 years of project management experience with at least 3-5 years in technical infrastructure or cloud migration programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale cloud transformation projects across AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components: networking, IAM, DNS, firewalls, security, containers (Kubernetes), and automation (Terraform/Ansible).
- Familiarity with enterprise migration tools and practices (landing zones, wave planning, discovery analysis).
- Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and ServiceNow.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a strong plus.
Good-to-Have Skillsets:
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
- Familiarity with SAFe, Agile frameworks, and program increment planning (PI Planning).
- Prior experience leading platform engineering or DevSecOps projects.
- Experience managing third-party vendors or offshore development teams.
- Exposure to cloud compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Governance
- Lead full project lifecycle from initiation through delivery for cloud infrastructure migration programs.
- Define project charter, scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, risk management plans, and success criteria.
- Drive and monitor execution of migration waves, automation efforts, and infra-readiness plans.
- Establish strong governance through status reporting, stakeholder engagement, and issue escalation.
Cloud Infrastructure Focus
- Coordinate technical teams including cloud engineers, SREs, DevOps, and security to ensure migration and provisioning tasks are completed on schedule.
- Collaborate with cloud architects to validate infrastructure plans, landing zone configurations, and automation pipelines.
- Track dependencies related to IaaS/PaaS resource provisioning, networking, security controls, and CI/CD readiness.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams, cloud COE, cybersecurity, application owners, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, executive updates, technical checkpoints, and retrospectives to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Ensure downstream and upstream teams (security, compliance, networking, app owners) are engaged early and continuously.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure projects adhere to internal frameworks, audit/compliance guidelines, and cloud operational readiness checklists.
- Drive quality through consistent tracking of KPIs (velocity, defect rates, change management adherence).
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Promote use of agile, DevSecOps, and cloud-native delivery practices.
- Recommend improvements in process, tooling, and documentation to accelerate project throughput and reduce risk.
