RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join their team in Mountain View, CA.
Key Tasks:
* Develop and implement a strategic program with our finance partners to manage financial investment processes across VEP Engineering, including investment reviews, forecasts, and ad hoc funding requests
* Drive executive communication strategies, providing clear, concise updates on financial insights and priorities by working closely with our finance partners and operations leaders
* Collaborate closely with leadership to synchronize efforts on headcount, hiring, and both annual and in-year planning
* Establish an operating cadence with finance partners to proactively address finance requests and requirements; Proactively identify risks and opportunities and drive mitigation plans
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive communication and alignment on financial strategies
* Generate reports and presentations that provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning
* Adapt strategies and processes to accommodate newly identified or shifting priorities, ensuring agility in financial decision-making
* Anticipate, recognize, and work through resistance or setbacks independently, work well with others when conflicts arise: see opportunities, ensure alignment with objectives, find common ground and promote understanding of alternative viewpoints before driving for closure and cooperation
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
* Strong Program Management leadership experience, including 8+ years of planning and leading medium-large sized programs or multiple smaller programs
* 8+ years of experience - look at monthly financial and assess hiring that needs to be done; Look at vector and what is overall size strategy (ex: engineer leader says they need an FTE or CW - does it align with size strategy and business priorities)
* Executive reviews; Must be comfortable handling financial information and sensitive data
* Deliver insights to drive change budget review; Identify insights to drive right decisions
* Weekly or bi-weekly updates from finance and hiring perspective
* Partner closely with engineering leaders - one side is HR/TA/Finance and other is Engineering - this person should analytically evaluate patterns and find predictability
* Leverage AI to streamline processes
* Background in tech/big tech
* Evaluate hiring, etc. but also things like hosting (evaluate why cost is increasing, etc.)
* AI - ideally candidate will be able to leverage deeper models do run analysis to raise the bar
* Program manager with budget/finance management or finance management
* Proven experience in managing headcount, budget planning, and forecasting
* Strong program management and leadership experience, with ability to influence at all levels
* Organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment
* Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
* Passionate about driving results through effective collaboration and teamwork
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
