Job Details
Seeking a Data Governance specialist to drive implementation and auditing of enterprise data governance policies focused on compliance, security, and discoverability within Microsoft Fabric. This individual will be the authority for operationalizing governance controls, standardizing frameworks, and ensuring the responsible use of data, especially for AI initiatives.
This team member will focus on Data Governance Implementation and Automation within our Fabric OneLake, Lakehouse, and Workspaces with regards to Policy Enforcement and Auditing (AI Focus), Metadata, Lineage, and Stewardship
Role
- Architect, deploy, and audit Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and object-level security across Fabric's OneLake and Workspaces.
- Automate the enforcement and reporting of governance and compliance policies (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) using PowerShell, Python, or SQL.
- Establish metadata, data lineage, and data quality standards within Fabric to promote certified and trusted datasets.
- Serve as the SME for AI governance, collaborating with architects and security teams to embed controls early in the data lifecycle.
Qualifications
The selected individual will have a good foundation in data engineering, governance, or platform administration with hands-on experience architecting and implementing governance/security models in Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Workspaces, Pipelines).
Required
- Expertise in RBAC design, data masking, and security controls for cloud data platforms.
- Proficiency in automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, or SQL) for deploying and auditing governance configurations at scale.
- Practical experience with DAMA-DMBOK principles and translating regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA) into technical controls.
Details
- Term: Six month contract to hire.
- Location: Team is in office four days a week in Johnson County near 119th & I-35.
- Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 annually.
- Benefits while on contract: Fully paid insurance premiums for employee with PTO & Holidays.
