Job Details

We are seeking an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Developer to support and enhance legacy enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in RPG development, system integration, and supporting mission-critical business applications in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on AS400 / IBM i

  • Design, code, test, and debug programs using RPG, RPGLE, Free-Form RPG

  • Work with CL/CLLE, DB2/400, and system utilities

  • Support batch and online applications

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

  • Perform application maintenance, enhancements, and production support

  • Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams

  • Document technical designs and support procedures

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with AS400 / IBM i platform

  • Hands-on experience with RPG, RPGLE, Free-Form RPG

  • Experience with CL/CLLE programming

  • Strong knowledge of DB2/400 and SQL

  • Experience with batch processing and job scheduling

  • Familiarity with version control and SDLC processes

  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues

Nice to Have

  • Experience with web services integration

  • Knowledge of Java or .NET integration

  • Experience with EDI

  • Banking / Insurance / Manufacturing domain experience

  • IBM i certifications
