Senior Data Scientist (Gen AI/ML Focus)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in Generative AI (Gen AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our innovative data science team. This role will be pivotal in leading AI/ML solution design, converting manual processes to automated NLP-based systems, and integrating with cloud and API-driven platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and data transformation pipelines, and will support the conversion of code to human-readable natural language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to projects focused on applying AI/ML, especially Generative AI, to solve business problems.
• Drive the conversion of manual code/scripts into natural language using LLMs and NLP techniques.
• Design and implement AI/ML-based solutions, including model development, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Develop robust data pipelines and support data engineering tasks like SQL scripting, data modeling, indexing, and structuring unstructured data.
• Translate complex AI concepts into human-readable formats for stakeholder communication and solution presentation.
• Work with prompt engineering techniques and API integrations to enhance LLM performance and usability.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions with various cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and internal tools.
• Participate in quarterly onsite planning sessions; travel expenses reimbursed per policy.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science, with 2-3 years of hands-on AI/ML and NLP experience.
• Strong background in Generative AI, LLMs (e.g., GPT), and prompt engineering.
• Proficient in Python scripting, SQL, and working with RDBMS systems.
• Experience with data preparation, transformation, and indexing for AI readiness.
• Proven track record of automating manual processes using AI/ML techniques.
• Experience in solution design across the data science lifecycle.
• Familiarity with AWS tech stack and integrating AI/ML models with cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to translate technical findings into business insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
• Exposure to Genetic AI algorithms.

Background or experience in the Healthcare industry.
