Job Description
A growing mortgage and lending organization based in Southern California is looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join their team full-time. This team is highly focused on business intelligence, internal operations efficiency, and report automation using tools such as SQL Server, Power BI, Salesforce, and Excel.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a high-impact, cross-functional role. The company is modernizing its internal reporting infrastructure transitioning data from disparate systems to a centralized SQL database and delivering self-service analytics via Power BI. You'll be a key player in helping teams make smarter decisions and drive business forward with reliable, scalable insights.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience with SQL, SSIS, SSRS
5+ years loading, importing, and exporting data into/from relational databases
2+ years of experience with Power BI (including DAX modeling)
2+ years of report/dashboard development in Salesforce
Advanced Excel skills including Power Query
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with Python and/or VBA
Mortgage or financial services industry experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown:
50% SQL Server (ETL, data prep, performance tuning)
25% Power BI (dashboards, DAX)
15% Salesforce reporting
10% Excel / Power Query
Daily Responsibilities:
70% Hands-On Reporting & Analysis
20% Data Integration & Automation
10% Stakeholder Collaboration
