Power BI Developer

We are seeking a skilled BI developer with expertise in Microsoft Power BI with high data visualization skills and creative mind.

Role:

• As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for data modeling and developing BI reports, dashboards and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data and reporting requirements, design data models, and ensure the business requirements are met by providing intuitive data visualizations that drive business decision making. Your role will primarily focus on PBI report design and development and maintaining existing reports and dashboards.

Skills & Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI including Report Builder for paginated reports.
• Deep knowledge of the Power BI services including Embedded, Reporting Services
• Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality
• Expertise in designing effective Report layouts using Data Visualizations best practices.
• Expertise in developing insightful, actionable Reports and Dashboards using default as well as custom visualizations.
• Experience in Data modelling and building semantic layer
• Strong Experience in working with different data sources for analysis like relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle), Flat files, Excel, cloud-based data sources such as Azure SQL DB.
• Expertise in Data Analysis with strong skills in writing advanced SQL Queries and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) that are performant on large datasets.
• Experience in integrating Power BI to web applications (embedded) and customization of visuals, customizations using Python scripts.
• Experience in automation of various tasks in Power BI (Scheduling, Power BI Data Flows, Refreshes)
• Experience working with Agile methodologies in DevOps environment for solution delivery is preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to work in extended time zones for Europe or Americas.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft certifications like Certified Power BI Associate.
• Any Azure certifications will be a plus.
• Multi cloud environment experience is a plus (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS etc.) but not required.
