Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Capital Markets Analyst with a strong foundation in SQL, Python, and financial data analysis. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology, contributing to the development of data-driven solutions across trading, risk, and post-trade operations. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical acumen and capital markets expertise to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts for analyzing trading, risk, and reference data across asset classes.
Collaborate with trading desks, risk managers, and compliance teams to transform business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Develop and automate tools to improve trade lifecycle processes, reconciliation, and reporting efficiency.
Contribute to the modernization of post-trade operations with evolving regulatory requirements. Exposure to regulatory themes like Dodd-Frank, T+1, or Basel frameworks is a plus
Document technical specifications, data definitions, and control procedures to support governance and transparency.
Qualifications & Skills:
4 8 years of experience in capital markets, ideally within trading, risk, or operations functions.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and automation.
Strong understanding of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, and derivatives, as well as the trade lifecycle.
Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as Dodd-Frank, Basel III, or T+1 settlement initiatives is a plus.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities to engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) is preferred.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
